I've decided I shall try to blog once or twice a week ^^ I know I know the pictures are not up yet SO I'll do it now ^^

By the way, I'm going to get my own laptop on Monday!! I was suppose to get it today but because of the bank's $2000 withdrawing limit, I wasn't able to get it!! Argh.. Oh, in case you're wondering, i'm going to get a 15-inch Macbook Pro!! Yay!!~ Haha, Some people might think: "Not fair!! She's stupid and never study hard for her O's.. Why she got mackbook!!" Well, suck it up!! Life's unfair so if you want something, ask your parents!! Haha~ Just kidding!! Daddy, don't take it seriously ^^ I'm kidding!!~ Well, life's really unfair, I mean life can't be fair to everyone. If she [decide 'Life' is a 'she' because like us women/ladies/girls, life is beautiful and unpredictable ^^] is, then everyone will be rich and famous with no one working for us, because everyone is rich and famous. Haha~ So if you want something, you need to fight for it. Meaning: Don't come and try to rob/steal my laptop. Cos I'll fight you!!~ Rawr!! I'll kick/punch/scratch/slap/poke/spit etc. on you

I know, I know

Haha!! OMGosh, I've didn't blog in such a long time. I'm really sorry to those people who check my blog everyday to see if I updated yet ;) I'll just do a short post cos I've got a lot stuff to do. I need to do a draft for an essay [Once met, never forgotten] and learn my chinese dictation, 'ting xie' ^^ Haha~

Well, over the weekend, last Saturday. We went to Chadstone to get some stuff for school and its really HUGE!! We walked til' our feet ache. I totally forgot what we did next but I can remember that we had our dinner at 'The Hogs Breath Cafe' again. It was FANTASTIC!!~ If I could let you try it, I will BUT I can't :( Haha!!~
Sunday. Mummy drove us up Mt. Dandenong to try a cafe called 'Flipping Pancakes' In my opinion, it wasn't that fantastic O.O or maybe its because I wasn't hungry.. Hmmmm, anyway Mummy will be bringing us there again when Denise visits!! Yay!!~ After finishing our brunch [breakfast + lunch = BRUNCH!! Amazing ^^] we went shopping for school stuff. By the time we finish shopping it was already 5 plus O.O Dropped the stuff off at home before heading for dinner at a Korean Restaurant. The moment I stepped in, I heard 'Lee Hyori - Bring it back' Wow!! Well, actually its not really unexpected since its a korean restaurant.. Hehe ^^ We took the barbeque buffet and it was really good. I love korean food!! I'm not being bias here because I love K-Pop but their food is really yummy!! I love the beansprout salad [??], ddukboki [??], any kind of bulgogi.. I love them so so much!! MCTWYHEYEH, when I get back lets go have our favourite lunch at 'Raffles Place' followed by COFFEE!! ^^ Promise?!? with a Pinky Swear ^^ Haha!!~

When school started, I had my first swimming class on Monday. Haha!!~ I was so embarrased. It felt weird strutting around in our bathers [no padding there O.O] and wearing swimming caps. Furthermore, I haven't swam properly in a few years. By properly I mean by swimming laps and stuff AND I only know how to swim 'frog leg' or you know it as the 'Breast Stroke' Haha~ So I had to learn swimming ^^

I'll end my post here cos I've got tons of stuff not done yet. I'm really sorry BUT I'll ask you this question : "Do you want me to blog or do my homework??" Haha~ This is the same question I asked my Daddy ^^ Guess the answer!!~ There's a problem with blogger, and I can't upload the long-overdue pictures. SORRY!!~

First Day of SCHOOL

Got woken up today at 7 today by Mummy. This was the first time I was so wide awake when someone called me for at least three times. You know why? Its because Mummy said something to me. She said: "Eh, did you know we could have died last night?!? Its because someone left the gas on the whole night. Luckily it was just the small stove!!" After I heard this I was like "WOAH!!~" But you know me.. I lazed around on bed until 7.30 before getting out of bed. I got ready, Daddy wanted to cook his favourite egg porridge for us but I had no appetite. What do you expect?!? I was NERVOUS!! Its the first day of school. Mummy and Daddy walked us to school, on the way there I told Mummy I had a stomachache because i was nervous. Mummy told me not to worry because its normal. ^^ After Mummy and Daddy left, I walked with Melissa to school. I tried not to show my nervousness because I know if I worry, Mei Mei will worry more so I tried to be calm ^^ made some jokes to help Mei Mei relax. After we reached to 'meeting point', we received our lockers locks ^^ and headed off with our Level Co-ordinators. We were shown to our class[well, technically mine's a lab ^^] and introduced to them. Everything was disorientating and confusing to me. I was nervous, I had a million things running through my mind.. "Where are the classes?" "Will my new classmates like me?" "What do I do for lunch?" "Whose gonna be my buddy?" "Will everyone be friendly?" etc. So many questions, so little time ^^ My form teacher, Mr Carbo[also my Physics teacher] assigned us to our buddies. I became a whole other me. When I'm in a new environment with no one I know, I become the shy and quiet me.

I'll cut everything short now ^^

Everything here is so different from Singapore. Not different, Really different!!~ I went around classes and spent my recess and lunch with a very large group of people[I still have trouble remembering names so forgive me ^^]. I didn't bring anything to eat so I starved for lunch and bought a sandwich for lunch. We sat under a large tree outside in the cold. I wasn't use to the weather yet so I sat there trying my best to control my 'teeth chattering' and 'body shivering' ^^ We had Geography lesson on a Mac Computer, OMGosh!! O.O Our last lesson was P.E!! And guess what, it was SWIMMING!!~~ I didn't know so I didn't bring my bather so I sat out for the first lesson. The lesson was about 'Survival' so we learnt how to swim[haha~]

After the bell rang, i went off to find Melissa. I totally forgotten to tell her where to meet me so I spend 15mins looking around the school and outside for her. I finally found her at the reception with her classmate and we then went home together ^^

Daddy was so anxious that he was already waiting outside the house. Haha~ The moment we stepped in the house, Both of us started chattering away. We told them how was our day and listened to theirs. We sat down to watch some TV, I waited for the computer so I could do some work ^^ We had our dinner and it was a wonderful one!! Daddy and Mummy bought oysters, beef, a rainbow trout, potatoes and some vegetables!! YUMMY!! It was to celebrate our first day of school and Daddy last[well not last but..] day with us in Melbourne.

Well, I really gotta go now. I'm bringing my own lunch tomorrow ^^

Orientation Day

It was our Orientation TODAY!! Mummy woke me at 8 today BUT I only got up at 8.45 cos, well the usual answer, I just couldn't get up!! I slept at 11 last night so technically I got at least 9hrs of sleep already!! Haha~~ Well continuing the story.. I took 1hr to get ready cos I wanted to look nice and at the same time, I was still half awake ^^ It was my first time wearing so many clothes, there was a white shirt, a thick jumper[okay, maybe not so thick ^^], and a blazer with VERY big shoulder pads!! There was also a pleated skirt and some thin stockings with normal black shoes ^^ Mummy and Daddy 'pei' us to school, well they also needed to be there but its still 'pei'. We arrived early and waited at the reception. There was only 7 new students coming in the mid-term. There was one Year 7, one Year 8, two Year 9[including Melissa] and three Year 10[including me ^^]. For those wondering, Year 7 is equivalent to secondary one in Singapore. So, yeah I know what you're thinking, I'm repeating a year :( But that's the only way.

At 10.45am sharp, Mrs Green[One of the teachers there and the Overseas Student Co-ordinator ^^] took the new students on a tour around the school. She showed us our classrooms, took us to see the music school, the different teachers rooms etc.. We finished at 1pm, we met up with our parents[parents and students have different tours]. I chose my subjects, well two electives, and then we headed for a japanese lunch. ^^

I gotta end this post fast cos its getting late and I need to sleep its my FIRST day tomorrow ^^.

We went to Chadstone to get our pre-paid cards for our phones!! BUT don't sms or call me cos I know that one sms costs SGD$0.60. SO DON"T!!~~ We also got some sport shoes cos our NEW school requires us to wear white shoes during sports lessons . After buying some other stuff, we headed to freshen up before meeting up with Auntie Nellie[My Guardian] for dinner. We had an Italian dinner and the serving was HUGE FROM H TO THE E!! Haha~~

Well, I gotta really end this now, Its already 11 here!!~~

Trip to Queen Victoria's Market

Woke up at 9 today to go to the famous "Queen Victoria Market". Ate a small bowl of maggi mee with one free range[chickens are allowed to run free and lay wherever they want to] egg and bok choy[we know it as 'Xiao Bai Cai'/Small White Veg BUT Its not at all small ^^]. Left the house at 10.30, we were originally suppose to leave the house at 9.30 but there's 3 ladies in the house SO...^^ Reached the market at 11 ^^ The moment at step out of the car, the wind messed up my hair :( Even though I had one thick jacket on, I still felt the wind, It was really strong. Earlier at the house I didn't listen to my parents advice to wear socks and I regretted it. My toes were already numb from a five minutes walk. There were many different areas in the market, there was an area for clothes, meat, vegetables, fish, seafood etc. Its basically like a open shopping centre + grocer. Some clothes which are sold there are even quite expensive. I saw an Ugg 'store' and I've wanted to buy one for a very long time. So I showed Mummy and Daddy the store, the moment they saw the price, they said NO!! :( Daddy said he wanted to see the vegetables so we headed there instead. We bought a lot of vegetables for our dinner as Daddy wanted to eat chinese food. While walking around, I made a deal with Mummy. Mummy said she was going to buy me and Mei Mei two boots each, one for keeping our legs warm and another for dressing up. My deal was that I'll only buy one pair if she allow me to buy one pair of Ugg. It WORKED!!~~ I took a lot time deciding if I wanted to get the sand coloured one or the chestnut coloured one. In the end, I got the chestnut. Mei Mei saw me trying them on so she also decided to get one. Surprisingly, she got a pink one. We changed into our new Uggs and headed to the Meat Department. Saw a whole skinned goat and it wasn't a nice sight. Ate a Greek lunch before heading back home. On the way back, we heard on the radio that the winds were 100km/hr. OMGosh..

I helped vacuum the house, well only the living area before I got tired and stopped. I had to unpack the rest of my stuff so it still wasn't over. After unwrapping all my TIGHTLY bubble wrapped stuff [Haha~~], I decorated my shelf. Skyped with Yilin for a while before we had to log off. Had chicken pasta soup, scallops with broccoli, stir fried beef with capsicums with white jasmine rice. YUMMY!!~~ I'm now watching Step-Up 2: The Streets. ^^

Will blog again when I have the time. School's starting on Monday!!

First/Second/Third day in Melbourne, Australia

Continued from the previous post..


First Day[5 July]:
The moment I came out from the plane, IT HIT ME!! OMGosh, It was so freaking cold. Mainly because of the wind and the fact that its only 6+ in the morning[Melbourne Time, 2hrs faster than Singapore]. We took a BIG taxi cos we had too much luggage ^^ I promptly fell asleep cos I was exhausted. We arrived at our rented house to keep our BIGGER pieces of luggage in it, while we checked into a small hotel called "Medina" in St. Kilda.. I know what you're thinking ^^ 'Why they stay in hotel, never stay in their house. Waste Money' Hehe~~ Simple, We don't have beds or any furniture at all in the house so in the next two days we will be shopping for our furniture ^^

After we "deposited" the luggage, Collin[?] kindly brought us to collect our car[rented, again, for 6mths]. We then headed to Chadstone to buy a modem so we can use the internet ^^ Then we ate Ramen for lunch at "Wagamama" before going to set up a bank account ^^ MY FIRST ACCOUNT!!~~ Headed back to the hotel cos all of us, particularly me, were like zombies. I could have practically been hung upside down, yet I will still be able to sleep ^^ Ate at "Rangoli's"[Indian Restaurant] for dinner at 6+. It was already dark at 5 here in Melbourne cos its Winter now. The dinner was YUMMYLICIOUS!!~~ I'll post pictures soon after I transfer them in. Didn't do much after that ^^ Slept early cos we had a long day ahead tomorrow!!~~


Second Day:
Woke up finally at 9+ after getting cajoled and shouted at by my parents. We ate a HUGE breakfast at "2 Doors Down". There were eggs, bacons, hams, 2 BIG pieces of bread and sausages!! WOW~~ It will be easier to gain weight here ^^ We drove for half an hour to Nunawarding[??] to shop for furniture and our beds ^^ We managed to buy a cheap but good quality pillows and beds, at FortyWinks, cos almost everywhere in Melbourne are SALES SAlES SALES!!~~ Perfect time to shop. According to my Mummy, she says there will be Summer sales, Spring Sales and Autumn Sales!! OMGosh, YAY!!~~ We wandered up and down the streets until we saw it. IT WAS THE BIGGEST WAREHOUSE/SHOP I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. I estimate it to be the size of 3 football fields ^^ It was filled with mini children playgrounds, swings, toilet bowls[haha~], lawn mowers, chainsaws[Arghhh] and alot more!!~~ But we bought like only a few pieces of stuff, haha~~

We also went to get our new uniforms for the new school ^^ My new uniform has never been seen in Singapore, I think its only been seen in magazines or TVs. Haha~~ I'll post a picture of it as soon as I try it on again ^^ AND I got a shock when my father paid the bill. The whole uniform costs SGD$1200!!~~ This is only the Winter Uniform!! I'll still have to buy another set for the next three seasons. WOW~~

We had a Japanese dinner at "Ichini". We ate some yakitoris and sashimi. It was FANTASTIC!!~~ As we were leaving, my father told us this restaurant originated from a small town in Japan called 'Taka Awey' while pointing at the sign 'Take Away' Haha!!~~ My sister almost believed him UNTIL I pointed out the mistake. Hehe!!~~ Now you guys now why I'm so 'LAME'!! ^^


Third Day:
Woke up at around 10+, we headed to our home to sign the 'papers' for our beds ^^ We then headed to Chadstone again to stock up on some items we might need in the house. I bought a throw, just in case I might get cold when I'm in the house. Daddy decided that he wanted to cook porridge to eat cos he misses it so we went to Coles[A Supermarket] to buy some groceries and buy some cleaning items for a major cleaning spree when we reached home :(

After we dropped off the groceries at home, Guess where we went?? IKEA!!~~ It carries most of the items the same as Singapore but they had more variety ^^ There was a CLEARANCE SALE so we bought practically a 'truckload' of stuff ^^ Tables, chairs, plates, bowls, cups and many more. We bought the cheapest for most of them because they are going to be thrown out 6mths later. ^^

Just finish eating my dinner[2 pieces of raisin bread + a bowl of egg porridge] and now blogging and watching "Pretty Woman". Melissa's washing the dishes today so its my turn tomorrow. Haha~~ That's all for the three days I've spent in Melbourne. ^^
